BBC Feature: Carers give up their jobs due to the pressure of juggling work and caring

08/02/2019

Carers UK has published a report which states that almost half a million people (600+ per day!) left work in the UK in the past two years, as a direct result of the pressures of caring for elderly, ill or disabled relatives.

The BBC this week highlghted the issues raised in the report, which calls for more flexibilty, including a change to employment rights that would acknowledge the needs of carers by providing them with paid carers' leave each year.
