Do you have a family member or friend who depends on you? Do you struggle to find time to care for yourself?

North Tyneside Carers’ Centre are re-launching our “Connecting Carers” outreach sessions. Over 5 weeks, carers are invited to join us and meet other carers from 2pm – 3.30pm starting 10th September 2020 in these new online sessions.

Over the 5 weeks we’ll be looking at self-care tools like “5 Ways of Wellbeing” to help carers to make likeminded connections by talking to each other and sharing their interests in what they do for their wellbeing. Sharing pre-COVID coping strategies and meeting others after lockdown ends we hope will be something carers value and helps take away some of the stress and isolation that caring can bring.

I have enjoyed meeting you all and chatting and learning new techniques to relieve stress & how to laugh and relax.

I did join a friends walking group in June but have only attended once as it’s on a Wednesday too. I feel that it would benefit my health & well-being to attend for fresh air and exercise and to make new friends.
