Event Details

Our support group for carers of people who are Autistic offers an opportunity to take time out and share experiences with others who understand your caring role.  The group meetings will be a blend of online and face to face sessions.  Dates  for 2021.

  • Thursday 30th September             6 – 8pm                  Face to face
  • Thursday 21st October                 6 – 7:30pm              Online
  • Thursday 18th November              6 – 8pm                  Face to face
  • Thursday 16th December              6 – 7:30pm              Online

During the face to face session, social distancing (2 metres) will be maintained and carers/staff will be required to wear a face covering when entering the building, until they are seated.  Hand sanitiser and wipes will be available to keep everyone safe. Face to face sessions will be held in a large room which has been carefully risk assessed in Tynemouth Scout Association Hut in North Shields .

A maximum of 8 people can attend face to face sessions, therefore, please call the Centre on 643 2298 to confirm your attendance.  If you have booked a place and are unable to attend, please let us know where you are able to, as carers may be on a waiting list. Unfortunately, if you have not booked a place and turn up and 8 carers are already present, you will be unable to stay.  We appreciate this is not how groups used to run in the past but this is the only way we feel we can keep carers and staff safe.

The links for the online sessions will be circulated to you all in the near future.  A maximum of 10 carers can attend online sessions to ensure everyone feels connected and has the opportunity to talk.

If you have any queries or would like to discuss this, please don’t hesitate to contact the Centre on 0191 643 2298 at anytime.
