Invitation to help improve NHS advice and information

The NHS Digital team who deliver the www.nhs.uk website have approached North Tyneside Council to help them to improve the provision of social care information on national platforms and improve signposting to council / local wellbeing online platforms.

The NHS Digital team is currently exploring how they can provide a more personalised and tailored user interface which will enable online transactions (such as booking appointments) for citizens, patients and carers.

They are visiting North Tyneside this month and are keen to meet with people who currently access information and advice from NHS and social care services.

The session will be held  on Monday, 18th December from 3.15 pm - 4.15 pm at the North Tyneside Council offices on the Cobalt Business Park.

The team will be looking to find out more from customers and carers about information and advice for older people from several different angles:

  • What residents and their carers need and how / whether they currently meet these needs.
  • What local authorities currently provide and where they think www.nhs.uk could help
  • Your experience of information and digital services across local authority websites, www.nhs.uk, www.GOV.UK and elsewhere
