Training and Wellbeing Sessions For Mental Health Carers
North Tyneside Carers’ Centre is running free events to offer mental health carers a much needed break from their caring role. We are also offering training sessions, which can help improve your knowledge about your loved ones’ condition and how you can help to support them.
Alphabetti Theatre – Friday 21st February 7.30-9.30pm in Newcastle Upon Tyne
A night at the theatre to see a one woman show exploring the issue of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Based on personal experience, ‘Ladybones is an uplifting and compelling story about OCD, dungarees and being weird but not a weirdo.’
Minsteracres Wellbeing Session – 4th March & 8th April
Day excursion to Minsteracres to enjoy respite and time out. Massage, relaxation, mindfulness and therapeutic activities all in a beautiful historic building set in 110 acres of peaceful countryside. All travel, Coffee and cakes, home made biscuits and a three course lunch included.

DBT Skills
An introduction to the four sets of behavioural skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotional regulation. Benefit from learning these skills and incorporating them into your everyday life.
